About the Book
In a gentle, loving way, When I Grow Up encourages children to focus not only on what they want to be when they grow up, but to also consider who they want to be as grown-ups. We always hear children saying I want to be a doctor or a movie-star or an astronaut when I grow up. We never hear children saying I want to be compassionate, considerate, or courageous, yet these are important values that our children need to learn. My hope is that through reading this delightful book children will begin to understand the importance of values and developing a moral compass that will serve them well into the future.
